EWGA offers so much more than organized play in your community.

Whether you are interested in a weekly get together at a local golf club, participating in a charity tournament out of town, traveling on business across the country, there are experiences just waiting for you through the EWGA. It's a network of connections. It's a way to reward yourself.

A little background:

The EWGA started in 1991 with 28 women who attended a new golfer clinic in West Palm Beach, FL.  These women were motivated to learn golf to add to their business resumes.  That premise still holds true today as the EWGA delivers golf education and playing opportunities designed for the schedules of busy working women.

Since 1991, the EWGA has grown to an Association with over 120 Chapters coast to coast (as well as Canada and France) with nearly 20,000 members.  These statistics indicate that the EWGA hit a chord and filled a need.

In short, we differ from other local leagues because we are a part of changing the landscape of this sport for women of today and for the generations to follow.  The EWGA is looked to by the golf industry as THE voice for women's golf.

The EWGA has partnered with golf's leading organizations; the PGA of America, the LPGA, the USGA, the PGA TOUR along with the World Golf Foundation; working together to grow the game of golf and elevate the appreciation of the value that women bring to the game as customers.

To offer some highlights:

1. A plethora of tangible member benefits such as bag tags, discounts, magazines, and more.
2. Access to premier golf education programs, free handicap, new golfer mentoring and more to help golfers of all skill levels get the most from their games.
3. Association-wide activities such as the EWGA Championship to learn or develop your competitive game, EWGA leadership gatherings and the EWGA Conference, to name a few.
4. Opportunities for personal and professional development whether it's gaining confidence with your game, learning the nuances of business golf, networking, or developing skills via volunteering for your Chapter or Association.
5. Making a difference in women's lives.  The EWGA has gained the respect and admiration of the major golf associations and we are proud of the difference we have made in women's golf.
6. Giving back to the community.  The EWGA has raised thousands and thousands of dollars for LPGA-USGA Girls Golf - a developmental program for young girls and Chapters across the Association raise thousands and thousands of dollars for a variety of causes.  Most recently, the EWGA partnered with Rally for the Cure®.  Again - members are a part of something bigger than their after work league but it is their membership and the numbers of the EWGA that contributes more than many members ever know.
7. Fun and friendship.  Sure you can get this at a local golf league but if times are tough, the EWGA is a ready made coast to coast support system.  And women who attend the EWGA Championship and/or EWGA Conference have friends for life from around the country - broadening and enhancing their lives.

The EWGA means different things to different people. Some join to learn the game.  Some join to improve or learn how to use golf for business, or because they've moved to a new community and seek the instant network of friends.  Members can be members of multiple Chapters or just visit a Chapter and join in their activities when traveling.  It's a coast to coast network of friends and opportunities.

And this is guaranteed - like all things in life - you get out what you put in - and if you get involved you'll soon be saying what many have said before, "I wish I'd learned about EWGA sooner!"
