(Palm Beach Gardens, FL, April 3, 2014) – The EWGA (Executive Women’s Golf Association) recognizes the importance of education regardless of age. As the creators of a scholarship program known as Women On Par®, the EWGA Foundation provides financial assistance to nontraditional female students—women who are thirty years of age and older who are interested in beginning or completing their undergraduate education to allow them to get “on par” with their peers and advance themselves both professionally and personally.
The EWGA Foundation application deadline for the 2014 Women on Par® Scholarship Program is April 15th, 2014. The selection process will begin shortly after where two (2) scholarships will be awarded: One (1) $1,000 Women On Par® scholarship and one (1) $500 Women On Par® scholarship.
EWGA membership is not a requirement to apply or receive a scholarship. Applicants are required to be pursuing a technical/vocational degree, associates or bachelor’s degree and currently enrolled or accepted to enroll in an accredited school, college or university. For complete eligibility requirements and application forms, see www.ewgafoundation.com.
“The ‘Women On Par®’ Scholarship program has provided ten scholarships since this program began in 2007. We are delighted to provide nontraditional “older” students the opportunity to pursue their academic goals,” says Nona Footz, President of the EWGA Foundation. “We believe in the importance of education and that it’s never too late to get ‘on par’.”
