A ground breaking athlete, Annika Sorenstam still is making headlines. Recently, she was named as one of seven women to become members of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club in St. Andrews, Scotland.
Annika’s 15-year professional golf career won 72 official LPGA tournaments including ten majors and 17 tournaments internationally, and she tops the LPGA's career money list with earnings of over $22 million. In addition, the EWGA presented Ms. Sorenstam with the Leadership Award for her distinguished career.
In 2009, along with Jack Nicklaus, she was named a Global Ambassador by the International Golf Federation and helped to successfully place golf in the 2016 Olympic Games.
Sorenstam’s transition from pro-golfer to entrepreneur has proven very successful. Her ANNIKA brand has continued to thrive well into her post-competitive golf career along with her golf course design firm and Annika Academy in Orlando Florida. Annika has proven that there is life after professional golf.
