Keiser to Offer Matching Scholarship to 2017 "Women on Par" Recipients

The “Women on Par®” Scholarship Program, provided by the EWGA Foundation, was established in 2007 to provide financial assistance to “non-traditional” female students. These scholarships are intended for women, age 30 and older, who are attending a college or university for the first time or returning to school after an absence to complete their technical/vocational, Associate or Bachelors degree. The scholarships are designed to help these women get “on par,” or get an equal footing, with their peers, friends and other women who have had a chance to complete their college education.

New for 2017, Keiser University will offer a matching scholarship for "Women on Par" scholarship recipients who attend or transfer into any program at the University's residential Flagship Campus in West Palm Beach, FL. This opportunity, which is just miles from the EWGA association headquarters, extends scholarship recipients the chance to choose from a variety of degree programs at the baccalaureate and masters levels, in the heart of South Florida.

“Keiser University is excited to partner with the EWGA in support of the Women on Par Scholarship," said Elizabeth Snyder, Community Relations Coordinator for Keiser University. "This partnership reflects Keiser University’s commitment beyond education in supporting the golf industry, and association initiatives that promote and grow the game for women.”

"The Women on Par scholarship has been a key offering of the EWGA Foundation and we’re very excited to now have Keiser University as a matching partner," added Diana Gats, President of the EWGA Foundation.

Since inception, the scholarship program has helped more than half a dozen women realize their dreams. In 2017, two (2) scholarships will be awarded: One (1) $1,000 Women On Par® scholarship and one (1) $500 Women On Par® scholarship.
