2014 was a banner year for professional golf. The U.S. Open and the U.S. Women's Open were back to back on Pinehurst #2. And Michelle Wie won the U.S. Women's Open. Can she repeat this year?
Michelle started as a child star and took women's golf by storm. At the age of 13, she qualified for the Kraft Nabisco Championship. She finished in the top 10 and turned pro before her 16th birthday. Adding to her achievements, Michelle graduated from Stanford University with a degree in communications. Next on her list? Qualifying for the 2016 Olympic team. "I’m going to do everything I can to do that. And you know, fortunately, I have some time to make the team, so I’m going to try to do my best this week and every single week. Rankings [are] one of those things that you can’t worry too much about. You have to focus on playing well; and if you play well and do the correct steps, then the rankings will take care of themselves.”
